Your Data Contract

Your data. Your rules.

This page tells you exactly what Medina Homes Guide collects when you fill out a Seller's Report, who can see it, who never can, and how you take it back or delete it. Written in plain English, not lawyer language. If this page ever disagrees with what MHG does, this page wins. If we change it, the change is dated and the previous version stays public.

1 · What we collect

When you complete a Seller's Report, you give us these things:

  • Your name, email, and the address of the home you're thinking about selling.
  • Details about your home you type into the form (year built, square footage, condition, upgrades, timeline, and so on).
  • Any notes you write in the open text fields.
  • Which agent you selected from the list, or the outside agent you named.
  • Basic technical stuff every website records (browser, page timestamps, an ID for your report).

What we don't collect: social security numbers, bank account numbers, drivers license, mortgage balance, or any other financial data. If a field in the form ever asks for something like that, it's a bug and we want to know.

2 · Where it lives

Your report is stored in a secure database called Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services. It is not on any public website, not searchable by Google, and not visible to anyone who doesn't have the specific link you were given.

The link to your report is the key. If you keep the link private, your report stays private. If you share the link, whoever you share it with can read your report. That's why the Sellers Report page tells you to bookmark or copy your link and keep it somewhere safe.

3 · Who can see your report

Three specific people or systems can see your report:

  1. You. Anyone with your report link.
  2. The realtor you selected at the end of the form. Selecting an agent is the moment you explicitly give that realtor access to your data. Until you make that selection, no agent has seen your report.
  3. The MHG editor (currently one person, Dan King). Only to help you with technical issues, verify your identity if you ask us to recover a lost link, or investigate a bug. Never for any other reason.

That's the whole list. Nobody else at MHG. No third-party contractors. No advertising networks. No data brokers. No "partners." Nobody.

4 · How you grant permission to your realtor

On the last step of the Seller's Report, you select an agent from the list. That selection is your consent for MHG to share your report with that specific realtor.

If you selected an agent by mistake, or you decide you want to work with a different agent, email editor@medinahomesguide.com with your report ID (it's at the top of your confirmation page). We'll transfer the report or revoke access, usually within one business day.

If you named an "outside" agent (someone not on MHG's roster), we send that agent a one-page introduction and your report link. Same rules apply: if you change your mind, tell us and we'll pull the invitation.

5 · What MHG will never do with your data

  • MHG will never sell your data. Not to marketers. Not to data brokers. Not to lenders. Not to anyone.
  • MHG will never share your data with anyone you haven't explicitly given permission to.
  • MHG will never send you unsolicited marketing for third-party products.
  • MHG will never use your data to train an AI model.
  • MHG will never use your data in any way that isn't described on this page.

If MHG's business changes — new features, new integrations, anything — this page changes first. Nothing new happens to your data until this page tells you it will.

6 · How to delete your report

Email editor@medinahomesguide.com from the email address you used on the form, and include your report ID. We will delete your report from the live database within three business days, and confirm to you when it's done.

Backups are kept for 30 days for disaster recovery, then permanently overwritten. After 30 days from the deletion date, your report is gone from every system MHG operates.

If your realtor has already downloaded your report as a PDF or copied information from it into their own system, that copy is beyond MHG's control. You may want to ask them to delete it as well.

7 · One thing to know about the realtor

When you select a realtor at the end of the form, they get your report. That's the point of the whole system. But they are an independent professional running their own business, and once they have your information, they operate under their own privacy practices, not MHG's.

MHG's realtors agree to a code of conduct that includes not selling client information, not adding sellers to third-party marketing lists, and not using the data for anything outside the transaction the seller invited them into. If a realtor on MHG breaks that agreement, they lose their listing on MHG and their reviews stay published as a permanent record.

If you feel a realtor has misused your information, tell us. We investigate every report.

Change log

2026-08-31 · v1.0 First published. Seven-section data contract established. Consent flow via agent selection formalized. Realtor code of conduct language committed. Prior to this date, MHG operated under an unwritten "we don't sell your data" understanding; this page turns that understanding into a public commitment.

Questions about your data go to editor@medinahomesguide.com. If MHG is doing something that doesn't match what's on this page, that's a bug and we want to know.
